We have agreed that the present moment is a point in a series of numbers on a circular ticking device, and this understanding extends to weeks, months, and years - constructs of human invention. Does this agreement limit us in some way? We often expect major life events - graduating from high school, attending college, starting a career, getting married, buying a house - at specific points in our life’s timeline. But why?
