Humans seem to be on a mission to cram more events and accomplishments into their lives as the time marches on. The modern world prizes efficiency; it’s as if we are careening down a hill on a wheel of time which accelerates with each passing moment. This relentless pursuit is the reason why the lives of humans have changed so drastically over the course of history. In contrast, all other species on the planet simply remain in a state of harmony with the natural world around them, which is characteristic of their existence for eons. Humans use their time to set and pursue ambitious goals. This is by no means bad, but is there a limit? Can we go too far when we try to accomplish more and more in increasingly shorter spans of time?
